The Raven and the Swan

A raven envied a swan, her white and lovely coat and believing that it was due to the water in which she lived, he deserted the altar where he used to find his living and flew down to the pools and streams. There he plumed and dressed and washed his coat but all to no avail, for his coat remained as black as ever and he soon perished for the wont of his usual food. Change of scene, soon change of nature, alas!
