The Fox and the Goat

Translation:

A fox had fallen into a well and was casting about for a way to get out, when a goat came to the place. He asked the fox if the water was good and if there was plenty of it. The fox replied, "Come down my friend; the water is so good I cannot drink enough of it and there is still plenty to spare." Upon hearing this the goat leaped in and the fox taking advantage of his friend's horns nimbly leaped out, coolly remarking to the deluded goat, "If you had half the brains that a bird has, you would have looked before you leaped."
